Series Hosted By Nate Burleson, Television host and Former Football player, with Three Deserving Families Gifted The Best Day

NEW YORK – (July 20, 2023) – Team Whistle, the global sports media and entertainment company is collaborating with Walmart+ on a custom ‘Best Day Ever’ series to showcase how the Walmart+ membership, and all its benefits, can help “plus up” your life. ‘Best Day Ever’ premieres on Wednesday, July 19 on Whistle’s YouTube page, and across their social media handles. Hosted by Nate Burleson, television host and former football player, each episode will kick off with Nate introducing us to the backstory of the three lucky and deserving recipients of our Best Day Ever, completely powered by Walmart+. Together, we’ll illustrate how they choose to spend it. The sky’s the limit for all the ways our winners can ‘plus up’ their best day ever.

“It’s really special to have the opportunity to collaborate with Walmart and be the conduit to give back to kind, deserving and admirable families,” said Nate Burleson. “It was incredible to make a series with Whistle that highlights how the Walmart+ membership can brighten people’s days while bringing them a ton of savings.”

“At Team Whistle, we know how to authentically create complementary original programming that naturally weaves in brand messaging with talent that can authentically speak on the topic.'' said Jamie Rubin, VP of Partnerships at Team Whistle. “Our ‘Best Day Ever’ original series was a perfect fit to help consumers visualize and understand how valuable the Walmart+ membership program is.”

In our premiere episode, we meet Martha and Malak, a couple who just had their first baby, Marley. Malak has MS which leaves him with the possibility of flare ups—this can sometimes leave him unable to walk, let alone work. With Martha’s maternity leave coming to an end, they must decide if being a stay-at-home mother is a realistic possibility for their family. In their spare time, Martha and Malak bond over their love of breakdance, old school hip-hop, and vintage sneakers, passions they plan to pass on to their daughter.

In addition to the main hero episodes, there will be snackable social content extensions –“Savings Hacks'' and “Three Things You Didn’t Know,” tailored to the interests of present and future Walmart+ members. In “Savings Hacks,” we’ll share videos ‘that demonstrate why a Walmart+ membership is a great way to “plus up” any occasion, whether you’re at your child’s t-ball game or hosting a backyard BBQ. In “Three Things You Didn’t Know,” Nate will reveal secret facts nobody knows about him while also integrating little-known features that come with a Walmart+ membership to not only save, but also make your daily life easier.
