The World Games 2022 to Take Place in Birmingham, AL, Marking The Second Happening in The U.S.

NEW YORK –(November 8, 2021) –Team Whistle, the global sports and entertainment media company today was tapped by The World Games 2022, an eleven day international multi-sport event organized with the support of the International Olympic Committee, to handle sponsorship packaging, sales and social support for their second U.S. based event. Held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA from July 7-17, The World Games 2022 will showcase a new generation of global sports with an anticipated 3,600 elite athletes from over 100 countries competing for gold in more than 30 of the fastest growing sports in the world.

The idea for The World Games came from the realization that there were few opportunities to increase awareness of multi-sport events for non-Olympic sports like bowling, casting, racquetball and more. Led by the International World Games Association (IWGA), the event is held every four years, in the year following each Summer Olympic Games. The first U.S. edition of The World Games was held in Santa Clara, in 1981. Team Whistle will work to develop bespoke sponsorship packages, support market conversations and provide a social strategy plan to amplify their presence and growth on the key social platforms. Tailored content packages will include offerings of Whistle’s original series like ‘No Days Off,’ a behind the scenes look at the daily routine of athletes striving to be the best in their respective sports with their support systems.
