TEAM WHISTLE CELEBRATES PRIDE MONTH WITH A NEW WOMEN’S FLAT TRACK DERBY TOURNAMENT EVERY DAY AT 3 PM ET ON WHISTLE TV

NEW YORK – (June 8, 2021) –Team Whistle, the global sports media and entertainment company today announced they will be celebrating LGBTQ+ pride month by airing a new Women’s Flat Track Derby Tournament from 2020 starting on June 1 everyday at 3PM ET on Whistle TV. The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is the international governing body for the sport of women's flat track roller derby and currently has one of the most inclusive gender statements in sport. Whistle TV, is Team Whistle’s free ad-supported sports and entertainment digital network available across OTT platforms including: Samsung, Vizio, Roku and many more.

The WFTDA Tournament Program supports high-quality hosted tournaments worldwide. The program aims to create roller derby events that provide rankings, play opportunities and support the organization's mission. Roller derby is a roller skating contact sport played by two teams of fifteen members. The association is committed to diversity and building a more inclusive, equitable environment in women's sports. Each tournament will run for 90 minutes.
